Third generation Cadillac Eldorado, out of ten generations of the famous Cadillac Eldorado

The third of ten generations of the famous Cadillac Eldorado appeared in 1957 and was produced until 1960. Once again, the Cadillac Eldorado affirmed its title – a personal, luxurious car . Some versions are truly exclusive, assembled by hand in limited numbers and not only in the US but also at the Pininfarina factory in Italy.

In addition to the two-door body typical of the Eldorado model (coupe, convertible and hardtop), the third generation also had a four-door hardtop, among which there was an extremely luxurious and expensive option (more expensive than the contemporary version – Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud), Cadillac Series 70 Eldorado Brougham.

In addition to expensive decorations (in some cases precious stones), the list of standard equipment of the Cadillac Eldorado includes: air suspension, power steering, power brakes, cruise control system, electric windows, electric seats with memory, air conditioning, radio, two-speed windshield wiper, central locking, alloy wheels.

Under the hood of the “third” Cadillac Eldorado is a gasoline engine: a 6.0-liter V8. 340 horsepower capacity, 540 Nm torque and 6.4 liter V8 engine. 350 horsepower and 590 Nm of torque. The engines are combined exclusively with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The 2-ton vehicle accelerates to “hundreds” in 11.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 200 km/h.
