Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother was in tears after he gave her an incredible birthday gift.
The 38-year-old is coming off a stellar 2023, where he finished the year as the world’s top scorer with 54 goals for Al-Nassr and Portugal. And he put his reported £173m-a-year salary at the Saudi Arabian club to use on New Year’s Eve.
The Real Madrid and Manchester United legend treated his mother – Maria Dolores Aveiro – on her 69th birthday by splurging on a luxury motorbike. He made a grand gesture by flying from Saudi Arabia to the family’s home island of Madeira to be with his beloved mother.

Footage on social networks shows Maria Dolores being given a brand new Porsche Cayman by her nephew Cristiano Jr., topped with a red ribbon. She broke down in tears as she hugged the teenager before opening the door of her new car in a visibly emotional manner.
Ronaldo’s sister Katia Aveiro shared some pictures of the heartwarming moment. Katia wrote a message on Instagram alongside the video that read: “If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her, not because of the value of the gift.
“Honor your parents and your days on earth will be long.”
Ronaldo is currently taking a break from competition as the Saudi Pro League takes a break for the winter break. After giving his mother a Porsche, Ronaldo took her to dinner at a luxury restaurant in Portugal with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, sister, brother Hugo and sister-in-law.
He shared a few photos from the birthday party on his Instagram along with the caption: “What a special night to end a very special 2023. Family is all”.
His final match of the year for Al-Nassr was a 4-1 win over Al-Taawoun, in which he scored a stoppage-time winner. Ronaldo’s next match will be the epic showdown dubbed ‘The Last Dance’ against Inter Miami – led by long-time rival Lionel Messi – in February.
