Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era: The Supercar with a Unique ‘Tatats’ Feature

"Bugatti

Bugatti has revealed its latest one-off built on the Chiron line, called the Golden Era. The Chiron Super Sport Golden Era has a total of 45 sketches of previous Bugatti models hand-painted on bespoke (personalized) two-tone paint, along with many more sketches inside the cabin.

This is another creation of the Bugatti Sur Mesure program for a customer who contacted them through a dealership in Greenwich, Connecticut. According to the Molsheim brand, this was probably the most difficult bespoke project it has undertaken, with the off-site processing alone taking over 400 hours.

The client’s request was to create something unique to commemorate the Chiron Super Sport as he saw it as a “landmark moment in the automotive world”. The design team proposed the idea of hand sketching on the car body and the customer was very satisfied with this idea.

The layouts were carefully refined in terms of scale and appearance of each sketch before they were applied to the vehicle. The company had to develop a new technique to hand-draw sketches on the car’s body with a pencil, which took a lot of time. Besides demonstrating the highest quality and finish, the resulting graphics need to be timeless, lasting throughout the entire life of the vehicle.

The passenger side features 26 sketches featuring iconic models, including the Type 41 Royale and Type 57 SC Atlantic. The driver’s side features 19 sketches from the automaker’s recent models, including the EB110, Veyron, Chiron, Divo, Centodieci and La Voiture Noire. There is also a visual representation of the 3,712 individual parts of the W16 engine and the text “Golden Era” under the rear spoiler. A bespoke yellow color called Doré was chosen as the basis for the sketches, while Nocturne Black covers the front of the car.

The interior is also quite special with the faces of 3 Buggati models hand-pasted on the leather door cards. The driver’s side features the EB110, Veyron and Chiron, while the passenger side depicts the Type 35, Type 57 SC Atlantic and Type 41 Royale racing cars.

The cabin has two leather colors that combine beautifully with matte carbon fiber details. The interior also includes “Goldern Era” stitching on the seats, “one-of-one” lettering on the center console and Bugatti’s performance periods handwritten on the side sills.

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era will be handed over to its owner at Monterey Car Week, where it will be displayed alongside other unique cars. The company did not reveal the price of the car model, but with the time and effort invested in the bespoke paint color, the car is expected to be significantly more expensive than the 3.2 million euros (about 83.2 billion VND) of the Chiron. Regular Super Sport.
