Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated the arrival of 2024 in spirit as he enjoyed a fireworks display in Madeira with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez.
The Al-Nassr striker and his long-time teammate dressed up and held a party on the rooftop to take in the view as the lights illuminated the sky.
Just a few days ago, Ronaldo described the fireworks display in his hometown as “the most beautiful in the world” and it looks like he made the most of New Year’s Eve.
Georgina posted several pictures of her and Ronaldo embracing each other and simulating the scene of fireworks exploding behind them.
‘May the miracle of the New Year fill your days with love, joy, health, harmony and the nights of your dreams come true! Wishing everyone a happy 2024!’ she wrote on Instagram.
Ronaldo was also seen partying with his sister Katia Aveiro in a video she posted on Instagram.
The video shows her singing a song next to a lavish dinner table – although it took Ronaldo a few seconds to get into the mood.
The Manchester United legend initially seemed a bit reluctant to join her in singing, before nodding and joining in with his own voice.
After a clever transition, viewers will see Ronaldo in full party pose as he sways, raises his arms and smiles at his sister’s encouragement.
In a separate video posted by his sister, Ronaldo looked quite confused as a guitar player sang for him and his girlfriend.
He’s not the only footballer to let his hair down as the world enters a new year.
