In 1996, a passionate Porsche textile manufacturer from Baden ordered a 993 generation 911 personalized with many unique details. He chose the GT2 Turbo with a base price of nearly 280,000 Deutschmarks to personalize details.

Like the legendary 911 Carrera RS 2.7, the basic idea was to design a car that was suitable for racing while also being designed for the road but with enough capability and technology. best possible for the track.

This car becomes special with the paint color and interior leather made by Porsche Exclusive, the department in charge of personalizing the cars. This model is ordered by the responsible employee and exclusive Customer Advisor Peter Fraschka. The customization business has been in operation for more than 30 years, and before the name change in 1986, Porsche Exclusive was first known as Werksreparatur and then as the Sonderwunsch program.

The list of optional extras for the GT2 is very limited and includes a Bremen or Düsseldorf radio, sports seats, air conditioning, airbags and electric windows. Other changes can be upgraded such as the catalog numbers M 496 (Rear nameplate removal package) and M 003 (Sport Clubsport package priced at 16,800 Euro). In general, the GT2 range can be divided into three types: Street version (M 002), Clubsport variant (M 003) and track version (M 005).

For the same reason, to simplify GT2 production, Porsche only offers a few color options such as Black, Guards Red, Grand Prix White, Riviera Blue, Speed ​​Yellow, Polar Silver. Some 128 customers chose the standard color in the first year, 13 customers personalized the car with a different color through the Sonderwunsch program and only one 993 GT2 was painted in Coppa Florio. Only two cars left the factory in Ferrari Yellow and the more striking 911 Blood Orange color scheme.

The basically light blue, pastel Coppa Florio paint (code 360) was originally offered as a special color for the 911 G-Series in the 1976 – 1977 model years. For this GT2, the wheels The Speedline is painted the same color and adds a high-contrast leather interior. The car’s interior is completed with a series of high-quality leather details such as the trunk lid opening button and electric lock trim to the light switch, radio, rearview mirror and rings of the circular dashboard, interior and compartment. The steering wheel is finished entirely in bespoke Can-Can Red leather.

Porsche is especially proud of the unique global expertise of its craftsmen. To ensure precision of fit and durability, the leather must be pre-dried in a conditioning chamber for 8 hours. The fabrication team also needed eight select cowhides to create up to 75 different components. Even the red Mapotex carpet is made to order. The original orange indicators were painted red by Peter Fraschka.

At the time, the car’s current owner said it was the most expensive GT2 in the initial series of 172 examples. Today, the current owner named the car Wölkchen (Little Cloud) because of the car’s impressive light blue paint color.
