Several news sites in Brazil and Europe reported on April 13 that Kaka’s ex-wife revealed in an interview the reason their once fairytale marriage broke up. Caroline Celico is said to have said: “Kaka never betrayed me. He treated me well, gave me a wonderful family. But I’m not happy because I feel like something is missing. The problem that he is so perfect for me”.

The statement attributed to Kaka’s ex-wife shocked many people. However, the information has not been verified. The first news site to post this information is Gol Garra , specializing in satirical and humorous content in sports. Spanish newspaper El Pais also reported this news but later deleted it. Neither Kaka nor his ex-wife have spoken about the rumors.

Kaka and his first wife Caroline Celico were once a talented couple, admired for their childhood love. The couple dated for a few years and kept each other chaste until getting married in 2005. The two in turn welcomed son Luca and daughter Isabella. They were considered one of the happiest couples in football until their marriage had problems in 2014. After a few months of announcing their separation, Kaka and his wife got back together.

However, just a few months before their 10th wedding anniversary, Kaka and Caroline Celico announced their divorce to the regret of their fans. At that time, there were rumors about Kaka being in love with another figure; Or he and his wife had a rift because Caroline developed her career in her home country of Brazil, and Kaka played for Orlando City in the US, but insiders did not confirm. Neither of them once shared the reason why they went their separate ways.

Two years after breaking up, both Kaka and Caroline Celico have new people. The former Brazilian midfielder married fellow model Carolina Dias, 13 years his junior, and had two more daughters. Meanwhile, his ex-wife also married Brazilian businessman Eduardo Scarpa Juliao in 2021. Caroline Celico and her husband are preparing to welcome their first child together.

Kaka and his ex-wife do not interact on social networks. Both are happy after the breakup, respect each other’s private lives, keep their distance, and only have a common concern: their two children. Caroline Celico used to be a hymn singer, now works in the fashion industry and is a social media influencer. She is also the face of many brands collaborating in her home country.

The two children, Luca and Isabella, mainly live with their mother and stepfather. However, Luca and his sister also often participate in big events at his father and stepmother’s house. On their personal page, Kaka and his wife repeatedly posted photos of his two stepchildren playing and being close with their stepmother and two younger half-sisters.
